ASHLEY BROWN
Ashley is the owner and operating manager of Rockin' Paws. Born and raised in Little Rock, Ashley is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BBA in Small Business Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. She has many hobbies and passions, including: the culinary arts, fitness & nutrition, and interior design, though animals have always been her first love. She has three beautiful baby girl dachshunds.....Buffy, Adrienne, and Foxxy......and they are her life!
Since childhood, Ashley served as a care-taker/foster parent for many cats and dogs. She has worked for the Oregon Zoo, as well as with rescue organizations such as the MSGAO helping to find homes for retired greyhounds. She has spent the last few years in Oregon working for and helping to manage Portland's premier dog walking and pet sitting company. Rather than spending her days indoors stuck behind a desk like a typical manager, Ashley prefers to be outside walking or distance running with a peppy pooch. She has experience with many different breeds and never shies away from a challenge. Ashley also has experience working with special needs animals, administering oral and injectable medications, and subcutaneous fluids.
When asked what she loves most about her venture with Rockin' Paws Ashley replied, “I believe that people's pets are their children, and should be treated as such!”
STEFANIE ARNOLD
Born and raised in Cabot, Arkansas.....Stefanie currently resides in Little Rock and teaches first grade at a local elementary school. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and has a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Reading. When she doesn't have her hands full of first graders, she has her hands full of some of the Happy Rockin' Paws Family of pups, kitties, and critters!! She is the proud mommy of a miniature dachshund named Miles who she is admittedly obsessed with. How can she not be?? He's a doll! In her free time, Stefanie enjoys climbing Pinnacle Mountain, walking Miles, and listening to music. She's an animal lover at heart and we're very happy to have her on the team!
JAIME SKIPPER
Jaime is a current nursing school student at UALR with an adorable rottweiler mix named Nikki! (shown here with her prize-winning horse, Sheza) Quite the caretaker.......Jaime has three years of experience as a veterinary assistant where she worked the kennel areas, prepped for surgeries, and administered oral medications as well as injectable ones. She has experience with a vast array of animals including dogs and cats, horses and other livestock, birds, rodents, pond ecosystems, saltwater aquariums, and many types of reptiles. She knows how to properly care for almost any type of critter.....right down to the African hissing cockroach. (Eeeek!!) In her free time, Jaime enjoys hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, cycling, bonsai, and nourishing her own saltwater aquarium. There's nothing pet-related that she can't handle and Rockin' Paws is very proud to have her on the team!
MICHELLE SHIELDS
Michelle is a dog trainer,
former veterinary assistant, and groomer. Her pet family includes: a
whippet/border collie mix~ Cooper, a tabby cat~ Abby, two bearded dragons~ Phoenix and Titan, a water turtle~ Dorthy, and two betta fish! Animals
have always been her passion and she began studying them intensely before
she ever entered high school. Her roots stem from a 3600 acre ranch in
Louisiana where horses, cows,
dogs and numerous critters filled her days. From this, she has gained
first hand knowledge on a wide variety of animals to include anything
with fur, scales and feathers!
This country girl has put in
countless hours at various dog shelters offering training to needy
animals and plenty of love and attention to all of the dogs eagerly
searching for their forever homes. It was around this time that her
love, passion and knowledge for animals was noticed by veterinarians and she
was made an offer to join them in their clinics to further expand her
knowledge in the one field she loved the most. Michelle finished high school
early and landed a job as a vet's assistant. After 4.5 years of serving
her time at the vet clinic, she made the decision to serve her country
in the United States Air Force.
After completing 4 years at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland as an
Airfield Manager, she got out of the military and has since devoted her
life to animals.
Michelle loves dog training and always takes a challenge head-on and works tirelessly to conquer it. She has experience in training hunting dogs, agility, fly ball, frisbee, obedience, behavioral correcting, potty training, etc. She is a confident and effective dog trainer who is proud to be a part of the Rockin' Paws team!
AMY PETERS
If you have a high energy pup or a dirty house......Amy's the perfect fit!! She's an animal lover like the rest of us and loves to care for them......she even delivered her beloved Maggie's pups!! (shown here) She is our resident housekeeper and can clean like no other...she's quite the perfectionist!! Amy LOVES to exercise and sports of all kinds. Pinnacle Mountain is her happy place. She is currently enrolled in Cosmetology School and her experience varies from interior design, refinishing antique furniture, fashion and design.....the list goes on! When she's not working, exercising, or cleaning, Amy enjoys spending time with her two sons, Daylon and Logan. She is very dependable, reliable and ENERGETIC and we're so happy to have her on the Rockin' Paws team!!
CARA BETH BUIE
A Louisiana transplant, Cara Beth and her husband, Brent, currently reside in Benton, Arkansas. Cara Beth graduated from Oachita Baptist University with a degree in Christian Studies. She has fostered many dogs over the last two years with a local rescue organization. Their love for animals is evident as soon as you enter their home! Their dogs, Conner and Scooter, and their cats, Hazel and Charlie keep them busy! Aside from taking care of their small menagerie, Cara Beth also owns her own photography business. She is joining the Rockin' Paws team as a pet sitter and dog walker, and will also be offering pet photography to our clients. Cara Beth will mainly service the Benton/Bryant area and we are so excited to have her aboard!!
